At any age, from six on, with your friends or family, or in the classroom, thanks to this easy table GAME, similar to snakes and ladders, you will start learning the close relationship between energy and environment, in order to experience sustainable developement.
From “Renewable to renewable” will teach you through playing the benefits and the disadvantages for the environment of the energy consumption, and at the same time will teach you the right vocabulary that is commonly used to talk about envirnoment and energy as well as its measurement.
In the 143 spaces that constitute the game, group according to source of energy and related topics, you will give a positive or negative value to energy saving and to respect for the environment. If the space is positive, you can move ahead and you will have more opportunities to win. If the space is negative, you have to move backwards. If you happen to be in one of the special spaces –for example, if you have a shower instead of a bath, since you will use a quarter of energy, you pollute three quarters less and you pay a fourth- the game rewards you, making you move ahead of many spaces at once.
So, easily and enjoying yourself, you will get to know renewable and non renewable sources of energy, consuption, saving, application, effects, programs to reduce consumption like the Kioto Protocol...
And, most importantly, you will get to know the environmental effects of your daily behaviour as far as far as use and purhcase of electrical domestics, use of the car and of the public means of transport, responsbile use of central heating and air conditioning, light, low energy bulbs, etc. go.
Finallye, you will wnjoy thinking of energy and the implied future consequencies.
